DEWAWe are now reaching the conclusion of your six-month productivity improvement project with Transmission and Distribution. At this point, we are able to clearly evaluate the impact, benefits and level of success of the project. I am pleased to say that the stated objectives of your assignment have been met and the highlights are as below;

  • Service, Productivity and Cost Control has improved.
  • Financial improvements by the end of 26 weeks are above the targeted savings.
  • The Schedule has been adhered to and the project is completed in time.

Thirty-three discreet units within our division have been through the productivity improvement process and have adopted a common Management Methododlogy. This process has enabled them to improve direct productivity in the field, improve spans of control and reduce their manpower requirements for the future. The implementation of enhanced processes and management tools, combined with the training of our concern supervisors and managers have provided the foundation for these results. We shall strive to ensure the long-term continuance of the improvement process.
